CODING CLIENTS
Claude Code
Connect Claude Code to Yugos using the Messages API.
1. Set your connection
In a terminal dedicated to Yugos, use your key from API keys (coming soon). The Messages base URL omits the /v1 suffix.
export ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL="https://bitmind--yugo-api-gateway-fastapi-app.modal.run"
export ANTHROPIC_API_KEY="<your Yugos project key>"
export ANTHROPIC_MODEL="yugo"
export ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_SONNET_MODEL="yugo"
export ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_HAIKU_MODEL="yugo"
export ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_OPUS_MODEL="yugo"
export CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_NONESSENTIAL_TRAFFIC="1"
export CLAUDE_CODE_MAX_RETRIES="0"
export CLAUDE_CODE_MAX_OUTPUT_TOKENS="32000"
claude --model yugoThe environment names belong to the client; every model alias above resolves through Yugos to the qualified launch model. The connection follows the Claude Code gateway documentation and has been tested against staging.
2. Try a small task
Ask Claude Code to read and edit a small file in a test project. Use your normal local tool permissions. Yugos returns text and proposed tool calls; Claude Code executes the tools on your machine.
3. Inspect the model and cost
Open Requests (coming soon) for each call's receipt and Usage & spend (coming soon) for the per-model breakdown. Preserve signed thinking blocks and tool results during a conversation. Start a new conversation when changing models. Token counting uses the client's estimate; images and hosted tools are outside this release. See compatibility.
